Former Pike resident indicted on child porn charge
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Mingo County man arrested last week on a federal child porn charge has now been indicted. Tyler Castor, 22, of Williamson but formerly of the Belfry area, was formally charged Thursday with one count of attempting to produce child porn. The charge carries a potential prison sentence of between 15 and 30 years. Castor came under investigation after a Pike County woman told Kentucky State Police that her 13-year-old granddaughter had been receiving sexual messages from a man. City of Logan asks for donations after elementary school burns

Dickenson School Board moves forward with $8.9 million nursing and robotics facility
by RODERICK MULLINS CLINTWOOD, Va. — The Dickenson County School Board took a significant step toward expanding its vocational offerings Wednesday night, approving plans to seek funding for a new $8.9 million nursing clinic and robotics lab on the Ridgeview campus. The proposed 10,000-square-foot facility, presented by Curtis Elswick of the consulting firm Skanska, is designed to house nursing skills simulation labs, three exam rooms, offices, and a dedicated robotics classroom.
